Operating a successful childcare and early education business requires strong business and management skills. CCR&R offers technical assistance and classes to help caregivers develop skills in recordkeeping, contracts and policies, understanding regulations, liability and much more. All providers gain knowledge and insight from attending training and are welcome in all classes that interest them, no matter what their experience is.

Just the Facts is a class that helps caregivers understand the resources that CCR&R has to help operate a successful business. It is also a pre-requisite to attend ChildNet classes.

Business Basics is a 4-hour hands-on course specifically for home providers. It covers record-keeping, taxes, contracts and policies. Each participant takes home a supply of organizational materials and books. Business Basics is a pre-requisite for home providers who want to attend Beyond Business Basics.

Beyond Business Basics expands on the knowledge learned in other classes, and is appropriate for home, center and preschool staff. The series is divided into two parts. Each part consists of eight, two-hour classes.

Each week, participants will have an opportunity to do activities outside of class that will help them implement what they are learning. Click here for class descriptions.

It is recommended that home providers must take Business Basics and ChildNet classes before taking this series. It is recommended that center staff must complete either Welcome to Child Care or Welcome to School Age Care first.

Pre-registration is required for all classes

Payment is due 10 days prior to the first class. Guests, including children, are not allowed in class. If you require special accommodations such as an interpreter, please contact the person taking registrations so she can make arrangements. Please be respectful and cancel your reservation if you cannot attend, so people on the waiting list can take your place. Refunds will not be given unless CCR&R cancels the class. Closing time of all classes is approximate.

Please check back in August for a new schedule.
