A statewide training registry will be implemented soon. Everyone will need an email address to register for training. Check back for more information.

Quality childcare and education programs have caregivers who understand child development and how to interact appropriately with the children. To help you provide quality care and education, Child Care Resource and Referral offers classes that help caregivers:

bullet

understand child growth and development

bullet

meet the individual needs of each children

bullet

provide a safe environment

bullet

facilitate appropriate learning experiences

bullet

implement positive guidance techniques

bullet

anticipate when a child is ready to master new skills

bullet

choose appropriate toys and activities

Workshop presenters interweave child development concepts throughout every class. Many of the series have several classes devoted to child development. Eager To Learn, ISU Extension, National Association of Family Child Care, Kids Included Together, also offer webinars and online classes that are approved for training hours.

Pre-registration is required for all classes

Payment is due 10 days prior to the first class. Guests, including children, are not allowed in class. If you require special accommodations such as an interpreter, please contact the person taking registrations so she can make arrangements. Please be respectful and cancel your reservation if you cannot attend, so people on the waiting list can take your place. Refunds will not be given unless CCR&R cancels the class. Closing time of all classes is approximate.
