A statewide training
registry will be implemented soon. Everyone will need an email address to
register for training. Check back for more information.
Quality childcare
and education programs have caregivers who understand child development and how
to interact appropriately with the children. To help you provide quality care
and education, Child Care Resource and Referral offers classes that help
caregivers:
 |
understand child growth and
development |
 |
meet the individual needs of each
children |
 |
provide a safe environment |
 |
facilitate appropriate learning
experiences |
 |
implement positive
guidance techniques |
 |
anticipate when a child is ready to
master new skills |
 |
choose appropriate toys and
activities |
Workshop presenters
interweave child development concepts throughout every class. Many of the series
have several classes devoted to child development.
Eager To Learn,
ISU Extension,
National Association of Family Child Care,
Kids Included Together, also offer webinars and
online classes that are
approved for training hours.
Pre-registration is required
for all classes
Payment is due 10 days prior to the first
class. Guests, including children, are not allowed in class. If you require
special accommodations such as an interpreter, please contact the person
taking registrations so she can make arrangements.
Please be respectful and cancel your
reservation if you cannot attend, so people on the waiting list can take your place.
Refunds will not be given unless CCR&R cancels the class. Closing time of all classes is approximate.
Please check back in
August for a new schedule.
