A statewide training registry will be implemented soon. Everyone will need an email address to register for training. Check back for more information.

Child care and education professionals in Iowa must have 2 hours of training for reporting child abuse. Since approved face-to-face classes are difficult to find, a specific online class is available at the Healthy Child Care Iowa events website. Click here for more information about this course.

Follow these instructions for creating your account, login, password etc. If you took the Universal Precautions/Exposure Control Plan online class, you will use the same URL and login/password. If you did not take the Universal Precautions/Exposure Control Plan online class, you will need to create your own account with login and password. Read the directions on how to register for the class. There are no group registrations or accounts.

It may take a few weeks to receive the official certificate via email. Because the certificate of completion is an email attachment, it may go to your spam or junk email box. The certificate of completion expires five years from the date of course completion (not the date the certificate was received).

The online course is currently offered at no charge. For technical difficulties, please contact Sandra Lyles at 515-242-5165.

Payment for ICN classes is due 10 days prior to the first class. Guests, including children, are not allowed in class. If you require special accommodations such as an interpreter, please contact the person taking registrations so she can make arrangements. Please be respectful and cancel your reservation if you cannot attend, so people on the waiting list can take your place. Refunds will not be given unless CCR&R cancels the class. Closing time of all classes is approximate.

Please check back in August for a new schedule.
