The National Administrator Credential (NAC) is an award that center and preschool directors can earn after completing a comprehensive five day training on administration and business issues. It is awarded by the National Child Care Association. Materials that can help are available on the Healthy Child Care Iowa website. Programs in Iowa who have a director with this credential can earn 2 points in the Professional Development Category of the Iowa QRS. After earning the credential, directors must complete additional hours of training to renew their credential. Classes that the National Child Care Association approved as meeting the criteria for continuing education for the National Administrator Credential appear on the Business page.
