A Parent's Responsibility to the Provider

It is important to recognize the valuable role your caregiver plays in your child's life. Talk together regularly about your child's progress and any problems the caregiver or child may have. Show respect for your caregiver by being thoughtful and considerate in the following ways:

Give the provider emergency contact information, immunization card and physical exam report before you leave your child in care

bullet

Call the provider if you are going to be late

bullet

Pay on time

bullet

Notify your caregiver of vacations well in advance

bullet

Provide any personal items your child needs

bullet

Keep sick children at home

bullet

Have a backup child care arrangement in the event your caregiver is not available to provide care

bullet

Give ample notice if you decide to make other arrangements for your child
