What is QRS?

The Quality Rating System (QRS) is a way for parents to compare providers based on their QRS level of quality. Provider involvement is voluntary. Providers may request an application from the regional Child Care Resource and Referral QRS Specialist by email or call 800-945-9778.

What are the benefits for providers?

Participation demonstrates to parents and the community that you are committed to providing quality child care, and to working towards improving the quality of the care that you provide. If you choose to participate, you will receive an achievement bonus each time your rating is re-determined or renewed. Ratings are good for two years.

How do providers get the necessary forms?

Click here to download the forms from the QRS Website, or contact the Regional Quality Rating Specialist. For health and safety related forms, contact your local Child Care Nurse Consultant.
